Please watch and spread this information! It is without a doubt something that our millions of poverty stricken disenfranchised would be eager to utilize and is so easy anyone can take advantage and implement.
Intructions:
- Fill a 2 litre plastic bottle with water.
- Add a capful of chlorine.
- Cut hole to match bottle dimensions inĀ corrugated steel of ceiling.
- Place bottle in hole and secure using whatever method best suits you.
Voila! Free Light!
PLEASE SHARE WITH ALL!

Sounds cool. Havent actually watched it yet but will!
But Im not sure if this should catch on, as water is already a precious resource and if not used carefully well use it all up in no time.
But it sounds like a great short term solution to anyones electricity problems!
wow….i wonder if the people around here know about it?
This is amazing! I come from Zambia and this would be highly highly beneficial for the masses that don’t have electricity and there’s plenty of fresh water:)
I would like to know how long does this home made light source last? And If one adds more chlorine, will it emit more light?
I would mind going to the shacks close by and showing them how to make their own lights.
Where would one get pure chlorine liquid or powder?
I’m game!!!
It lasts as long as their is sunlight…duh
Aaaand does this work without sun?? most likly not :/ so its only for people who cant see in there house during the day when their is sun everywhere.
Greetings Amir
About your comments on the sun-light water bottle… this is a simple solution for people whom may be in their house/shack for long periods of time
or bed ridden people that can at least have more light in their house! Please try to see the simplicity of it, it is not the magic bullet to end all problems.
I am starting to redo the website and get all the email addresses into a separate program for sending bulk emails, can i add you to the database, you can reply mail me at

I cant believe people cant think for themselves. This is a sunlight… simple as a window to the roof..But a brilliant idea none the less.
